Viking Bassmasters is a B.A.S.S. affiliated tournament bass fishing club based in Maple Grove, MN. We are a dedicated club of bass fishing enthusiasts that have committed ourselves to promoting and participating in club tournaments, events, and projects. Our tournaments are held from May through October. The season’s top anglers become our “State Team” for the TOC (Tournament of Champions). The MN B.A.S.S. Nation hosts the statewide TOC (Tournament of Champions) each fall to qualify anglers for regionals and upward.
The main event for our fishing club is the Viking Invitational. One of the last big bass (and pike) tournaments on Lake Minnetonka each year, the first Sunday in October. This event is also a food shelf donation fundraiser, and food drive. Anglers in this event aren’t fishing for a big cash payout. Instead, trophies are awarded, and event sponsors donate products, gift cards, and/or discount codes as door prizes.
